That Spinal Tap DVD was very frustrating. I paid 30 bux for mine, just for the extra footage of Cherie and there was hardly any of it included. There's a few scenes of her with the keyboardist...eating pizza together, in the back of the limo making out...but all the music sequences are not on it. There was a DVD Rom or laser disk or something like that released a few years ago that had all of the missing scenes including Cherie on stage with the Tap guys watching her rehearse. I was able to view it once at a friend's house but I never found one to buy.

I have been planning to get the "special edition 2001" version for the extra footage. Supposed to be one hour of extra footage.
Did you see anything that looked like the video grabs on this web site Kamakazeelover?
Like I said I saw the first 12" lasar disc version. That has the rehearsal segment you mentioned rocketmaster. Is yours the "special edition 2001" release? It has more in it than I have seen, from your description.
I'm starting to think maybe the Australian version has more than the US version now! I don't believe they are compatable with US players either!
Does anybody know?
I'd sure hate to order the wrong one, that's for sure!

I just went to the Spinal Tap website and saw the DVD you were both talking about, it's $18.99 over there, it says it has the extra footage, is this the one you have Rocky, where you said it doesn't have the extra footage, or is it a different Spinal Tap DVD~

Apparently it is the "CRITERION" DVD we all want.
On ebay it is going for big bucks compared to the other ones. Here is a link to one auction with some pretty good details about it too.
$82.00 with 3 hours remaining!

Someone on ebay wants $125.00 minimum for the criterion DVD.
I don't think I am going to find it cheap. I'd sure like to know more details about the Cherie footage before I seriously consider bidding on ebay.
This is not a bootleg is it? I don't get that impression anyway.
Anybody actually seen the extra footage?
Very very CURRIEous indeed!

I know what you mean. The one I mentioned is the cheapest I've seen one go for.
If I were to bid it would go even higher I assume.
Maybe we should buy one as a group and share it!
Dibs on May! LOL!
